  Yet another July 15th 2011 WT thread...use caution--deconstruction at work

  i figured i'd start off by just examining the language used in the july 15th, 2011 watchtower, page 15-16, paragraphs 4-7.. apostates are like:.

  1. ravenous wolves.

  9. their own ideas.

  You have no idea how strikingly similar the language is with common pre-1989 Communist propaganda. The use of words, the first grade comparisons, the insertion of completely unrelated propaganda bits...reading this makes me relive a part of my life, I'd rather forget...

  Here is the matrix:

  Governing Body = The (Communist) Party

  Satan = Imperialistic Western World

  Apostates = Defectors

  Loyal = Loyal

  Judgment = Execution (Firing Squad)

  Turn Away From Jehovah = Treason

  Spiritual Paradise = Socialist Society

  New System = New Society

  I can go on, you get the idea...

  this is what my elderete (sp?

  ) aunt, wife to presiding elder uncle, stated to all the family and medical staff present as my dad was being wheeled in for hip surgery.

  i have been out for 30+ years.

  No, bozos, it was not the JWs.

  It was the doctors and scientists, who spent many sleepless nights studying for exams at institutions you condemn, so they can accommodate your ungrateful a$$es and still fulfill their professional and moral obligations.

  Why don't you go to a third world country (with a high number of regular pioneers if you wish, pun intended) and see how pioneered bloodless surgery is there?

  BZZZZZZZZ! False Dichotomy.

  How about a third option? Pursue his unchristian lifestyle (maybe muslim, or hindu, or theist, or whatever) and still love and be loved by his parents.

  this is one of the most aggressive watchtowers i think i have ever read.. four study articles on not "following the crowd" not following unrealities(page 13) not following false teachers, meaning apostates of course(p 15).

  avoiding false teachers means "refusing to read their literature, watch tv programs that feature them, examine their web sites, or add comments to their blogs.

  (para 7, pg 16).

  this past weekend i had a lot of questions answers and i have thought about if i wanna go all the way with studying with the jehovah witness'.

  and i also been also talking to my mother (somewhat ex jw) and there are a lot of things the jw do that i don't agree with.

  i have been thinking and well i am not going all the way trough with the jws.

  Seems to me they dance around the same old beaten to death argument - if it is complex and orderly, it must have been created.

  ....but Jehovah, being the most complex and orderly of them all, fails miserably the test of creation based on complexity and order.
